Many years ago, I saw one of Sharon Mudavanhu’s brush-out videos and instantly fell in love with her work. Since then, I’ve watched as she steadily grew her career and expanded her portfolio. Sharon (@yogacolourist) is not only a hair artist but also a mentor, Joico Canada ambassador, educator, salon owner, entrepreneur, on-air expert, music video hairstylist, and—most importantly—a mother to her beautiful and spunky daughter, Ava.
She is not an overnight sensation.
Over the past two decades, Sharon has built a globally recognized brand, @yogacolourist, through her dedication to every client, each social media post and reel, and an unwavering commitment to learning. Sharon is now booked months in advance, with a waitlist of clients who travel just to see her. But this success didn’t happen overnight. There was no easy shortcut. She worked her ass off to get where she is today.
Sharon believed in herself, fought for her freedom and independence and won.
She has achieved the ultimate success every hair artist dreams of attaining. I believe she is a shining example for the beauty industry, in a time where role models are desperately needed.
Below are some highlights from her current ‘Girl, You Did That’ era.
Sharon established the Brunette Academy to address the lack of education specifically for brunette hair coloring. The academy aims to empower stylists by offering specialized training that helps them master techniques for creating beautiful brunette shades.
