I L-O-V-E my retro style adidas sneakers.
I was inspired to purchase a pair by my friend Sarah Ollson – she’s a unique. They look good with jeans, a casual fitted tank dress, leather leggings – just about everything. And, they are so comfy.
There is only one problem. They get dirty so quickly.
So here are a few tips to keep your white sneakers looking spotless.
Don’t reach the point of nasty.
Maintenance is the key. Think of it like detailing your car – you want to keep your sneakers sparkling like new.
Here is what you’ll need – it’s stuff you’ll probably already have around the house.
Soft bristle toothbrush
Dilute a few drops of dish soap in a small bowl of tepid water.
Dip the toothbrush into the soapy solution, make sure to tap off all the excess liquid, gently scrub the rubber and leather in circular motion.
Wipe them dry with a white cloth and then set them either near open window, outside, or near a fan to help speed up with the air-drying process.
TIP: Use a Q-Tip to clean the laces – it works.
I got some car grease on my laces – I have no idea how it happened. I just dipped the Q-Tip in the soapy solution and then gently rubbed the lace in the same direction as the grain of the material.
